“…We come across a passageway cut into the rock face near the waterfall. It looks as if there used to be a door here at one time. After cathing a few giant rolly-pollies and disarming a bogus rock trap, we tumble down into the next room. Here there is a large throne with a spike trap in front of it. After searching the room we discover a secret door leading to a room with a very unique table. Here we take position of a small sack of money 50sp, a rainbow ring, an unknown potion. This place should be revisited at some point. I believe this could make a good hideout. We step into forest across the way and seem to disappear. There appears to be an obscuring mist around the forest. There’s a poorly disguised cave up behind some trees. I mean it was hardly covered up so we decide to explore. Inside we are immediately greeted by a group of nervous archers. Drox manages to convince these guys that we know Sal. As if on command,Sal comes out and tells us that we need to meet Grub and proceed to blindfold us. Judging by the parrot, latrine, and tapestries I would assume that these men live here. The cave is absolutely full of gold trinkets. A Bald, perceptive, sharp looking man introduces himself as Grub. He charges us with a quest to protect a golden-haired girl by the name of Felise, and we will be “well rewarded”. She is his sister and he believes she is somewhere in Stonehell. Also, he offers us access to “uncommon trading items”. We are instructed to report any competitors and to draw a signal in chalk in the alley outside of Bumpkin Squire to get in contact.
Once back in Stonehell, Kilmore spins the Wheel of Fortune and looses his vision. He spins it a second time and feels stronger, however still blind. One of Drox’s henchmen spins the wheel and gets electrocuted nearly to death. I myself decide to give the wheel a spin and nothing bad happens. I get a sense that I am feeling lucky today. We pass through and using a knock scroll, open the doors which don texts of gods and resting. We find 200CP in an empty tomb. There are numbers on each door in this area that remind me of prison. While moving down a dark passage, Shakey suddenly proclaims that he can cure blindness. We restore Kilmore and make note to keep track of Shakey’s abilities. Good to know. The next tomb contains a bronze necklace with ornate gems. The third tomb contains a damned ghoul which managed to bite my arm as I turned it. The effects were immediately apparent as I was unable to move a muscle. While dragging my useless body, I remember hearing the rest of the group fend off spitting cobras. The last door is decorated with a skull and the words “To him who ends our toils”. Inside lays an altar with black candles, another skull, and a secret passage. Through the passage we find vestments and a confer. and things get a little hazy in my memories. I do not recall how, but it seems that on our way out, Drox got poisoned, and perished?! I am still recovering from the parylisis and no one is willing to discuss the incident until I am well. I suppose the details will have to wait." – Efthalia Megalos
